What is Reiki?
Reiki, which literally means “universally guided life force energy,” is a form of hands-on healing. As science teaches us, everything is made up of electromagnetic fields. A Reiki practitioner is able to sense, feel, and work with these electromagnetic fields in people in order to work with energy flow, or life force energy. Life force energy flows within the physical body though the electromagnetic fields. Life force energy nourishes the organs and cells of the body, supporting them in their vital functions. When this flow of life force energy is disrupted, it causes diminished function in one or more of the organs and tissues of the physical body.
How does Reiki Heal?
Reiki heals by flowing through the affected parts of the energy field and charging them with positive energy. It raises the vibratory level of the energy field in and around the physical body where the negativity is attached and where there are energy blockages. This causes the blocked negative energy to break apart and fall away. Receiving Reiki therefore clears, straightens and heals the energy pathways, thus allowing the life force energy to flow in a healthy and natural way. Reiki releases old emotions and memories that may be stuck in the body’s energy field preventing the body to truly heal. This results in pain reduction, relaxation, and an overall feeling of well-being. Additionally, it works beautifully in conjunction with any form of medical or therapeutic treatment to relieve side effects of medication or surgery and promote recovery.
Reiki is useful and helpful in dealing with issues such as depression, anxiety, stress, headaches, chronic pain, painful periods, insomnia, and any sort of imbalance.
