As the new school year begins, and as the date of the release of the H1N1 vaccine approaches, I am getting inundated with inquiries from clients with many fears and questions regarding both the swine flu and the vaccine. Just as SARS and the avian flu got massive coverage and caused massive fear, panic, and chaos, so too now is the swine flu. It’s a media frenzy, and there is a lot of confusion. I find that the greatest antidote to fear and confusion is knowledge, so here I am aiming to break it down a little for you.
While the exposure to swine flu and other strains of the flu cannot be avoided, steps can be taken to prevent infection. Things like washing your hands often, especially before touching your food, mouth, nose, or eyes, are common knowledge and help in the prevention. So too does taking Vitamin C and other supplements, getting enough rest, drinking enough water, and cutting back on sugar. Most importantly in preventing infection after exposure, however, is making sure your immune system is functioning at its optimal level. If you are unsure how to get you or your child’s immune system functioning at its optimal level, please contact me, and I’d be happy to go over it with you.
With regards to the vaccination, here are my thoughts: If you truly feel that you need it, I will not argue with you, go ahead. My concerns are large, however, as the government is rushing to make huge quantities of vaccine while also rushing through safety trials. We have no idea the ill effects that this vaccine may cause. In fact, the Department of Health and Human Services has granted immunity to the makers of this and all future swine flu vaccines. This shields the pharmaceutical company manufacturers from any and all liability for deaths or other side effects the vaccine may cause. Furthermore, there is no guarantee that this H1N1 vaccine will actually prevent your infection of swine flu; NO VACCINE ever guarantees that prevention.
There are vaccine-free options to help boost you and your child’s immunity to the H1N1 swine and other strains of flu viruses. Homeopathy offers a safe, preventative strategy which I, along with most practicing Homeopaths, have been using very successfully for years. Because Homeopathy works by triggering the body’s healing mechanism, the homeopathic influenza immunity protocol, therefore, works to trigger the body’s over-all immunity to all strains of the flu virus, including the swine flu. The protocol is very simple to follow.
